From 1 to 4 September, NME hosted the Team Norway Pavilion at SMM 2026 in Hamburg, bringing together a broad group of Norwegian maritime companies at one of the world’s leading maritime trade fairs.

Throughout the week, the pavilion served as a meeting place for Norwegian equipment, technology and service providers, as well as customers, partners and industry representatives from across the global maritime industry.

Ahead of the seminar, Jonas Skrei, Minister Counsellor, joined a tour of the Team Norway Pavilion. During the visit, he stopped by several exhibitors to learn more about their solutions and gain insight into the work of Norwegian maritime companies at SMM.

Together with Blue Maritime Cluster, NME hosted the seminar “Norwegian Solutions Shaping the Future of Maritime Operations” at the Digital Stage in Hall B6. The seminar focused on developments in digitalisation and future maritime operations, with contributions from Norwegian Electric Systems, Kongsberg Maritime, Maritime Robotics, Blue Ctrl and Metizoft.

In addition to the exhibition and seminar programme, NME hosted several meeting arenas throughout the week. These included a networking lunch together with Innovation Norway for Norwegian exhibitors and companies from Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark.

On Thursday, NME hosted a networking event in the Team Norway Pavilion lounge. The event was well attended and brought together exhibitors, customers and partners for meetings, conversations and follow-up during the final part of the exhibition week.

NME also continued the SMM tradition of bringing the Norwegian maritime community together for the Get2Gether at Hofbräuhaus. The evening gathered exhibitors, members and partners in an informal setting and provided an opportunity to meet outside the exhibition halls during a busy week in Hamburg.

Throughout the exhibition, the Team Norway Pavilion lounge remained an active meeting point, with visitors stopping by for meetings, coffee, conversations and the traditional NME hot dogs.

We would like to thank all participating companies, partners and visitors who stopped by the Team Norway Pavilion during SMM 2026. We would also like to thank Innovation Norway, Blue Maritime Cluster and everyone who contributed to the activities throughout the week.

We look forward to returning to SMM in 2028.
