We would like to extend our gratitude to all the exhibiting companies in our Team Norway pavilion; without them the event would not have been so successful. Additionally, we would like to thank the Nor-Shipping team for arranging such a fantastic event in celebration of their 60th anniversary. Lastly, we would like to thank the NOVA Spektrum team that helped us organizing the largest Team Norway pavilion ever at Nor-Shipping. The week was filled with enthusiasm and an optimistic mood every day which created a unique atmosphere in both Lillestrøm and Oslo.
The week was busy with a high volume of visitors in the exhibition hall and our pavilion, coupled with numerous activities, networking opportunities, and social events during the evenings. On Tuesday the Ship of the Year award was presented in our Team Norway pavilion to the cable laying vessel “Prysmian Monna Lisa”. She is built in Norway by VARD and owned by Prysmian, a global cable solutions provider. The award recognizes her innovative design and contribution to the energy transition and digital transformation. On Thursday, we hosted for the second time an International Hall C Party with the Danish, German and Dutch pavilions, and with support from Nor-Shipping. The band “Badegjestene” kicked of the party with great music setting a fantastic party mood. It was wonderful to see so many enjoying themselves in the entire hall.
Several Parliament members and other VIPs visited our pavilion during Nor-Shipping, including Norway’s Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy, Ms. Marianne Sivertsen Ness who in addition to presenting the Ship of the Year award, visited several of the exhibitors in our pavilion. On Tuesday, a delegation from India, led by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal, was welcomed to Team Norway and given a tour in the pavilion by NME’s Chair, Mr. Lars Erik Lunøe. On Wednesday, our CEO Erlend Prytz welcomed Mr. Yang Huaxiong, Director General of China’s Water Transport Bureau, and his delegation to Team Norway and gave them a pavilion tour.
Last but not least, Nor-Shipping is reporting record numbers: 36,367 visits to the exhibition and 63,698 total visits including those at conferences, networking events, and social gatherings. There were participants representing 104 nationalities, with 1,012 exhibiting companies from 50 nationalities, and 17 national pavilions. Our Team Norway pavilion was by far the largest with 2,640 sqm and 110 exhibiting companies. Additionally, numerous partner and exhibitor events took place in Oslo.
Thank you to all that visited the exhibitors in our pavilion. We can’t wait to welcome you to our Team Norway pavilion at Nor-Shipping, 7-11 June 2027!
