Last week NME arranged a Team Norway pavilion at Kormarine in Busan. A record of 24 Norwegian companies participated in the pavilion.

After taking part in the official opening, Team Norway and Denmark hosted a joint ribbon cutting ceremony to open our two country’s pavilions. After this followed four busy and rewarding days filled with meetings and visits from partners and industry representatives. The Norwegian and Danish Networking Reception in the Explorers’ Lounge was well attended, creating a relaxed setting for new connections and good conversations.

Ahead of the exhibition, NME also hosted a yard visit to Samsung Heavy Industries at Geoje Island, including company presentations, one to one meetings and a yard tour. The visit was very successful for both sides, and we are already invited back in 2027.

To round off the week, we attended the Norway Day dinner, organized by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Seoul and the Norwegian Business Association Korea, gathering a record number of 279 guests from Norwegian and Korean businesses. We would like to congratulate ambassador Anne Kari Hansen Ovind and her team at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Seoul on hosting a fantastic event. Thank you for the continuous involvement and support for Norwegian companies in South Korea!

We would also like to share a big thank you to all participating companies, partners and visitors who stopped by the Team Norway pavilion, to Samsung Heavy Industries for hosting us, and to Danish Export Marine and Innovation Norway for great collaboration throughout the week.

We look forward to returning to Kormarine in 2027!
