On 21 March we held our Annual General Meeting for NME members. It is always valuable to meet the members and to get their opinions and inputs. This is important for us to do our job correctly. During the meeting two new board members were chosen to replace board member Inge C. Paulsen and deputy board member Frode Helland Evebø. We would like to welcome our new board member Øyvind Sundgot from Metizoft and deputy board member Tore Andersen from Optimarin. We would also like to thank Inge C. Paulsen and Frode Helland Evebø for their efforts!

Following the Annual General Meeting, an impressive crew from Nor-Shipping and Norges Varemesse joined us for a Nor-Shipping exhibitor meeting. The Team Norway Pavilion was shown and described in great details. We also got a demo of the new booking system and lead scanner. The meeting seemed highly useful for the exhibitors attending, and for us it most definitely was. We are now looking forward to Nor-Shipping more than ever before!

Dag Olav Koppervik, Innovation Norway

After lunch we were visited by Dag Olav Koppervik from Innovation Norway. He is the Deputy Commissioner General for Norway’s contribution to EXPO 2020 in Dubai. He gave a thorough presentation about both the expo and Norway’s contribution, which main focus is the ocean space. We recommend those of you interested to visit Innovation Norway’s EXPO 2020 page (link). Here you can read more about the theme “Norway – A World Leading Ocean Nation” and the pavilion.
