Brunvoll wins contract for equipment package to container vessels for Royal Arctic Line
Brunvoll has signed a contract for complete propulsion, manoeuvring and control systems with Astilleros Zamakona S.A., Spain for two cargo/container vessels for the Greenland Nuuk-based Royal Arctic Line AS. The vessels, Zamakona hull C797 and C798, are of Havyard 974 design by Havyard Design & Solutions AS, Norway. Deliveries from Brunvoll will take place within 2020.

Brunvoll system deliveries consist of gear- and cp propeller system, tunnel thrusters and complete control system. The propulsion system is a diesel-mechanical hybrid configuration with PTO/PTI for takeme-home running mode. The vessels will be carrying containers and general cargo in rough climate in Northwest Greenland, and the propulsion and manoeuvring systems are designed to meet requirements for high redundancy and Polar Code ice class.
