Norwegian Deputy Minister visiting the Team Norway pavilion at Sea Asia

On Wednesday 26 April, Vidar Ulriksen, Vice Minister in the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries visited our Team Norway pavilion at Sea Asia. In addition to Mr. Ulriksen, Mr. Ottar Ostnes represented the ministry. The entourage also consisted of H.E. Ambassador Eivind Homme, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Singapore; Ms. Elizabeth Hvaal Lingaas, the Norwegian Maritime Authority; Ms. Helene Tofte, Norwegian Shipowners´ Association, Mr. Trond Langemyr, Norwegian Coastal Administration and Mr. Pål Kastmann, Innovation Norway Singapore.

Mr. Rune Damsgaard, Business Manager at Air Products and board member of NME welcomed the group and introduced NME and the work that is being done to facilitate the Team Norway pavilions at international maritime trade fairs. He also reminded that to achieve the goal of increased exports of Norwegian quality products by 50%, the work being done by NME must be financially supported by the authorities.

After the introduction, the group visited the exhibitors in the pavilion giving the deputy minister the chance to speak directly to the companies to learn more about their products as well as the marketing opportunities fairs like Sea Asia creates for Norwegian companies in general.

The group spent an hour with us, and when we walked the Deputy Minister out of the hall, he commented “This visit was definitely worth the time”. We greatly appreciate both the visit and the comment!
