Team Norway at Kormarine 2023
We would like to thank all exhibitors in the Team Norway pavilion at Kormarine for joining us. What a great week it was!
On Monday 23 October, we were joined by 9 companies on our visit to Samsung Heavy Industries’ shipyard on Geoje Island outside Busan. The visit started with a group meeting discussing amongst other new fuels and nuclear power. After the group meeting each company had one to one meetings with their SHI counterparts. To round off the visit we were given a tour of the yard. We are very impressed of the way the shipyard is organised and the build is executed. Many thanks to SHI for having us!
On the opening day of Kormarine, Tuesday 24 October, we were invited to participate at the official opening and ribbon cutting ceremony. Later the same day, Synnøve Finden in Korea came and served their version of waffles with Norwegian brown cheese in our Explorers’ Lounge. The waffles were extremely popular, and we ran out in no time. Luckily the team from Synnøve came back with more waffles on Wednesday. We are very thankful for the service and impressed with what jeonmi eom, the lady behind Synnøve in Korea, has accomplished.
On Thursday 26 October, we hosted a networking event together with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Seoul and Danish Export Association. During the event, the Team Norway pavilion was packed with people. Norway’s ambassador Anne Kari Hansen Ovind took her time talking to all the exhibitors in the pavilion and gave a welcoming speach during the reception. We were very impressed by the amount of research she had done on each company. Many thanks for supporting us and for the visit.
During a busy week at the fair, it is important to have comfortable chairs to relax in. Our long-time partner Ekornes AS, Contract Dep. made sure of this by furnishing our lounge with Stressless chairs. Thanks for joining us Ekornes and Helge Overå. We would also like to thank the organizer of Kormarine, RX K. Fairs, for putting together a great exhibition and for all their hard work with inviting and organising transportation for relevant visitors to the fair. And last, but not least, Danish Export Association for the wonderful collaboration during Kormarine!
