We are excited to announce that our annual experience-sharing conference, ERFA, will be held at Scandic Holmenkollen Park hotel in Oslo on 20-21 January 2026. The conference will bring together industry leaders, experts, and professionals from the maritime sector to share insights and experiences. In addition, you will have the opportunity to network with industry peers during the event.

We can now share the topics we plan to cover and some confirmed speakers in the following draft program:

Official opening:
Marianne Sivertsen Næss, Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy, will be present to open the conference.

Marked opportunities:
Learn more about emerging markets, with sessions on opportunities and new market perspectives led by Jakub Walenkiewicz from DNV and Vegard Vollsæter from Clarksons.

Shipowners’ Perspective:
Hear from industry leaders like Odfjell, Höegh Autoliners, and more on what shipowner’s need from equipment suppliers leading up to the 2050 zero-emission ship requirements. What impact will it have on the subcontractors? How can shipping companies collaborate with suppliers on the development of technology?
Odfjell will have Øistein Jensen, Chief Sustainability Officer, and Jan Opedal, Manager Projects, as its representatives. Höegh Autoliners will be represented by Sebjørn Dahl, Chief Operating Officer.

Supplying to the Defence Sector:
Now that Norway has chosen to purchase frigates from the UK, it is relevant and interesting for the equipment suppliers to learn more about what opportunities exist for them in such a programme. We have requested Commander Jon Inge Stensrud at the Ministry of Defence, to give us an update on opportunities for the equipment suppliers.

Artificial Intelligence:
How does AI affect working life, society and decision-making processes, and how can it be used in sales? We want to discuss these topics and will also allow the exchange of experience between NME members.

Corporate culture:
A strong corporate culture is essential for a company, but requires continuous work, openness and commitment. Shared values should be practiced on a daily basis, not just exist on paper. A good culture makes adapting to change easier, solving challenges and creating well-being and cohesion. Jotun has continuously developed its corporate culture and will present its experiences through Siri Moldestad Sanna, Communications Manager.

More speaker on the various themes will be announced going forward.
