DESCRIPTION:Update from the organizer of EXPO 2020 Dubai:\nThe global mega event will now run from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022\, a delay that allows all participants to safely navigate the impact of COVID-19\, and allows the World Expo to focus on a collective desire for new thinking to identify solutions to some of the greatest challenges of our time. \nAbout EXPO 2020: \nThe purpose of world expositions is to promote international relations through uniting countries from around the world. Countries and companies come together to exchange ideas\, showcase innovations and experiences in business\, education\, research and technology.  \nThe main theme for the EXPO 2020 DUBAI is “A BETTER WORLD TOGETHER!” where the basis is  ”Connecting Minds – Creating the Future”\, with sub themes: Opportunity – Sustainability – Mobility. \nInnovation Norway oversees Norway’s participation and will act as a facilitator and catalyst for Norwegian businesses. They will present our ocean industries to the world under the theme ‘Norway – A World Leading Ocean Nation’. \nThe Norwegian participation will strengthen commercial relations with countries in the Asia\, Middle East and Africa. These are important markets for Norwegian business and industry\, among others for the maritime sector\, the petroleum supply industry and the seafood industry. \nhttp://www.nme.no/NME/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/havrommet-hovedfilm_260819_short-1.mp4\n  \nNorwegian participation takes place in a partnership between the state and the private sector on a 50/50 cost-sharing basis. Norwegian companies are invited to participate as partners in three main categories listed below. It is also possible to join forces in consortiums. NME has put down the first building block of such a consortium and is now a category C partner. We would like to invite all members to join us in this consortium. Joining forces will give us the possibility of reaching category B partner status and increase our footprint. DESCRIPTION:Norwegian Maritime Exporters (NME) and Innovation Norway (IN) have the pleasure of inviting you to exhibit in the Team Norway pavilion at Seatrade Maritime Middle East (SMME) 2021. The pavilion will have an excellent location facing one of the main hallways. The pavilion will be branded under the official Norway-profile highlighting the Norwegian trademark: Quality. \nWhy exhibit at SMME 2021?\nSeatrade Maritime Middle East is the Middle East’s largest maritime trade event and conference. The exhibition hosts region’s largest gathering of ship owners\, operators and managers and connect them with thousands of proactive industry professionals from both the local and international maritime markets. \nThis event returns to Dubai every two years as part of UAE Maritime Week. Now in its 10th edition\, the event caters for all maritime businesses with a vested interest in the Middle East market. With over 230 exhibiting maritime businesses and more than 7\,000 reactive stakeholders\, the event provides an arena to meet and build relationships with industry’s regional and international stakeholders. \nThe 2021 edition of Seatrade Maritime Middle East will be located at Expo 2020 Dubai. Expo 2020 is the first world expo to be hosted within the Middle East and surrounding regions and is set to be the largest event ever staged in the Arab world over the course of 182 days (01 Oct 2021 – 31 March 2022). Team Norway will plan to maximize benefits for your participation at Seatrade Maritime Middle East through connecting activities with Norway’s participation at Expo 2020 Dubai.
